Brighton, MA – April 17th will mark the 121st running of the Boston Marathon and a full day of the New England Acura Dealers Association (NEADA), official automotive sponsor of the 2017 Boston Marathon, spreading “We Are Boston” spirit along the marathon course. Among more than 30,000 participants journeying from Hopkinton to the finish line on Boylston Street, attendees will find Drew Spring (34) of Boston and Vadim Plesca (29) of Waltham, Mass. representing Acura of Boston.
“I can’t thank Acura of Boston enough. I will represent Acura and Acura of Boston with the utmost of pride,” said Drew Spring. Spring was lucky enough to run his first ever Boston Marathon last year with his brother Doug. In 2017, he is coming back to the starting line with a little more knowledge of the marathon course’s intricacies and a renewed eagerness to soak up the cheers, signs, and applause.
Originally from Illinois, Spring moved to Boston seven years ago and attended every marathon since. Going into the 120th running of the Boston Marathon, Acura of Boston’s sponsorship helped Spring make good on his personal resolution to get off the sidelines and enter the races.
“We are so excited have [Drew Spring] back and running the 26.2 miles for Acura of Boston. Drew has been helping Acura of Boston perform at the highest level since 2013 and it is a pleasure to give him entry into this one of a kind race,” said Todd Irving, general manager of Acura of Boston.
Vadim Plesca serves as a Honda brand specialist at Bernardi Honda in Natick, Mass. The same passion and dedication he brings to Bernardi Honda customers, he is also investing in marathon training. Come Marathon Monday, Plesca will be ready to reap all the benefits of his hard work and maybe wave to his friends at the NEADA booth in Brookline.
“At Acura of Boston, we are all about family and the New England Acura Dealers value community. It is with pleasure I can give a bib to Vadim, a member of the Bernardi Auto Group family,” said Irving.
Throughout the year, NEADA supports the B.A.A. for this year’s Boston Marathon, B.A.A. Half Marathon, and B.A.A. 5K through advertising and community outreach, as they did in 2016. The eight dealers of New England are also excited to usher in the marathon spirit with the Set the Pace Sales Event starting March 13th. As the official automotive sponsor, the NEADA will also provide the official pace cars leading the Boston Marathon. Make sure to stop by one of their five booths during marathon weekend to experience the 2017 NSX in virtual reality or make a cheer sign for one of your runners.
