The New England Acura Dealers Association (NEADA) participated as one of the top-level sponsors in the 23rd Annual Philip and Bernice Frieze Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital on July 18th. This was their fourth year acting as a sponsor for the event.
This year’s tournament took place at Pine Hills Golf Club in Plymouth, Mass. with over 200 golfers playing on two courses. NEADA also offered a 2-year lease on a brand-new 2017 Acura MDX as the grand prize to one lucky golfer who made a hole-in-one on one of the participating courses.
For nearly two decades, the tournament has benefitted The Philip and Bernice Frieze Fund at Boston Children’s Hospital, which supports families who have a child with a serious illness at Boston Children’s by providing financial and emotional relief. Since 1994, the tournament has raised nearly $3 million and has provided support to over 5,000 families in the form of housing, food, utility and transportation assistance. Each year, approximately 200 families receive support.
“As always, the [NEADA] is excited to get into the swing of things to support our community and provide relief to families in need,” said Chris Connolly, president of NEADA and general manager of Herb Connolly Acura. Connolly took to the green this year as part of a foursome of Herb Connolly Acura employees who participated in the tournament.
NEADA continues to support the Boston community through their fundraising efforts for Boston Children’s Hospital and their sponsorship of the Boston Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K. Since 2012, NEADA has served as a top-level sponsor at all signature fundraisers benefiting the hospital. NEADA is on track to raise $1 million dollars by November 2016 for Boston Children’s Hospital’s premier pediatric care and research facility.
