The New England Acura Dealers Association (NEADA) will host a Live Art Show at their booth at the 2017 New England International Auto Show, held from January 12 – 16 at the Boston Convention & Exhibit Center. The NEADA is proud to showcase local Boston artists as it kicks off another year of community involvement, including sponsorship of the 2017 Boston Marathon, B.A.A. Half Marathon, and B.A.A. 5K. Leading up to the Marathon, and throughout the year, NEADA will support the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) for this year’s races through advertising and community outreach. The Live Art Show begins on January 13.
“The New England Acura Dealers have a great passion for community involvement, and our ongoing ‘We Are Boston’ campaign is a great way to show our commitment to our local Bostonians,” said Todd Irving, General Manager of Acura of Boston.
Artists from Artists for Humanity (AFH) will create a unique mural on a brand-new 2017 Acura MDX under the NEADA’s “We Are Boston” campaign. The 2017 MDX will be the official Pace Car of the 2017 Boston Marathon and will be provided by Acura of Boston.
AFH is a local non-profit enterprise whose aim is providing under-resourced urban youth with the keys to self- sufficiency through paid employment in art and design, and they are one of the largest employers of youth in Boston. The team of artists will be led by Rob Gibbs, Co-founder/Director of The Paint Studio.
“Artists for Humanity is excited to bring our creative services to this event in support of the seven local Acura dealerships bringing art to Boston. We’re thrilled to be involved with Acura and the Boston Marathon, and this unique live art show is a great way to present our talents as a gift to the community,” said Gibbs.
The 121st Boston Marathon will be held on April 17, Patriots’ Day in Massachusetts. For more information on the New England International Auto Show or to purchase tickets, please visit www.bostonautoshow.com
