For it’s second consecutive year, the New England Acura Dealers Association (NEADA) will serve as the official automotive sponsor of the 2017 Boston Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K. Leading up to the Marathon, the NEADA will support the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) through advertising and community outreach, including participating in the first-ever Boston Marathon Opening Day on Monday, September 12 at Boston Marathon adidas RunBase located at 855 Boylston Street in Boston.
“We are ecstatic to participate as sponsors for the second year in a row,” said Chris Connolly, NEADA president and general manager (GM) of Herb Connolly Acura. “We had the opportunity to meet great people, raise $36,000 for local charities and introduce the 2017 NSX to Boston. We have big things in store for 2017.”
Hosted by the B.A.A. and official sponsors, the Boston Marathon Opening Day will consist of a series of clinics featuring 4-time Boston Marathon champion Bill Rodgers, 3-time winner Sara Mae Berman, and 49-time consecutive runner Ben Beach who will tell their personal Marathon stories. The event will also include the launch of the Boston Marathon Qualifier apparel and an after party at the Back Bay Social Club right next door to Boston Marathon adidas RunBase.
The NEADA will also be on-site with a booth and signature Acura vehicle on display. Acura representatives will also be in attendance to provide more information about the all-new 2017 Acura line up. The Boston Marathon Opening Day will also kick-off NEADA’s “Set the Pace Scavenger Hunt” where one lucky winner will receive two tickets to finish line seating at the 2017 Boston Marathon.
