New England Acura Dealers Team up with BAA for Boston Half-Marathon

The New England Acura Dealers Association (NEADA) is excited to announce that they are the official automotive sponsor of the 2016 B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, taking place on Sunday, October 9. After its successful sponsorship of the Boston Marathon in April, NEADA is delighted to team up once more with the Boston Athletic Association to support the Boston community.

For the registration day kick-off party at Boston Marathon® adidas RunBase on July 13, NEADA will be onsite along with other sponsors Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Clif Bar. Boston Marathon® adidas RunBase is a state-of-the-art hub built exclusively for runners in the Boston area, located just steps from the Marathon’s finish line on Boylston Street.

As part of the Half Marathon sponsorship, NEADA will set the pace by providing two pace cars for the race, including the redesigned 2017 Acura RDX and 2017 Acura MDX, and a booth along the race course with other signature Acura vehicles on display. In addition to being the official automotive sponsor of the Boston Half Marathon, NEADA will also sponsor five runners for the race.

All charity funds raised for the B.A.A. Half Marathon go to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. In the 2016 Boston Marathon, NEADA sponsored two runners who added meaning to their miles in support of the Dana-Farber cancer treatment and research center. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has maintained a more than sixty-year old partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital in order to research and treat pediatric cancer. The New England Acura Dealers have pledged $1 million in support to Boston Children’s Hospital by the end of 2016.

“We are Boston, and we are proud to support our local Boston Community and the B.A.A. whether that’s from Hopkinton to Boston, or through the Emerald Necklace Park System,” said Chris Connolly, president of the NEADA and general manager of Herb Connolly Acura.

NEADA continues to support the Boston community through their fundraising efforts for Boston Children’s Hospital and their sponsorship of the Boston Marathon, Half-Marathon, and B.A.A. 5K. Registration for the 2016 B.A.A. Half Marathon goes live at 10 a.m. ET on July 13. For more information, visit www.baa.org.
